Roof Construction: Demo & Planking

With the dormer basically finished, we're moving onto the rest of the roof. Today we focused on 1/2 of the side roof slope because the other half will be more complicated and involve structural work. The plan was to remove the slates and their supporting battens, and then immediately install the planks going all the way up. Fortunately this was relatively straightforward, and for the first time in a while, the work went according to plan.
